Bio

Dr. Vijendra Kumar is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. He obtained his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum in 2011, followed by an M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering from SVNIT Surat in 2014, and a PhD in Water Resources Engineering from SVNIT Surat in 2020. Dr. Kumar's research interests are focused on Reservoir operation, Soft Computing Techniques, Optimization in water resources, Flood Modelling, Flood Risk Assessment and Management, and Real-time Flood Forecasting in WRE. He has published over 24 papers in international journals and conferences and has been recognized with awards for his research contributions.
