Primary purpose of CBIE is to provide a collaborative platform that empowers aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesses to explore, develop, and implement innovative ideas and solutions. By offering a range of comprehensive resources, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, CBIE aims to inspire and support individuals in turning their innovative concepts into successful ventures by also helping them with Seed Grants and Connecting them to the right investors. Moreover, the centre serves as a knowledge hub, conducting research and disseminating valuable insights on emerging market trends, disruptive technologies, and best practices in entrepreneurship. Ultimately, the CBIE endeavours to create a vibrant ecosystem that encourages creativity, nurtures talent, and propels economic growth by fostering a thriving community of forward-thinking entrepreneurs and visionary business leaders.

Our Investment Approach

CBIE takes a proactive and impactful investment approach towards startups, with a strong focus on nurturing early-stage entrepreneurs and helping them transform their innovative ideas into tangible realities. One of the key pillars of CBIE investment strategy is the provision of seed grants, enabling aspiring entrepreneurs to take the crucial first steps towards building their ventures.   • Fund Raising - 3 to 4 rounds or Series A whichever is agreed upon. Putting them to the right investors to pitch.
  • Guidance on Pitch Deck, Financials, Go To Market Strategy, and any other concerns which need to be corrected.
  • Operational Review calls - Fortnightly/ Monthly Calls to solve operational challenges.
  • Be part of the Advisory Board/ Board of Directors.
  • Helping in identifying the right market, potential hires, and specific challenges which are critical for the success.
  • Reviewing documents or taking opinions on contracts or fundraising documents wherein no external payments or personnel are involved.
  • Referrals & Market connects on % of revenue/margin share (Mutually agreed as per case to case with corresponding equity stake as well)
  • An Initial fund of 20 lacs as a grant from MIT WPU Startup Incubation - section 8 company.
  • Other services - Debt Financing, Real estate assistance, Mystery audits, internal audits, Stat audits, Setting up of SOP/Controls, Facilitating Due Diligence/Valuations, Mentoring, Help in Search of Cofounders, Company incorporation.
  • 9% sweat equity from the startup upfront which will cover (Seedfund + Fund Raise + Go-to-Market Strategy)
  • Investment Banking fee of 5% for the fundraise
  • Retainership for any service like accounting, HR, marketing, Debt Financing, Real estate assistance, Mystery audits, internal audits, Stat audits, Setting up of SOP/Controls, Facilitating Due Diligence/Valuations, Mentoring, Help in Search of Cofounders, Company incorporation. (Mutually agreed as per the scope of work with corresponding equity stake as well)
