M.Com.
Programme Overview
The Master of Commerce is a Post-Graduate Commerce programme in collaboration with CIMA, i.e. the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. It emphasises business-related concepts, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analysis.
The intended effect of the programme outline is to address the evolving demand for quantitative and analytical problem-solving abilities. With 'Research' as a recently introduced specialisation to equip students for both industry and academic requirements, the programme is research-driven.
The Department provides students with many opportunities to develop their research skills by planning and encouraging them to take part in and present research papers at various seminars, conclaves, symposiums, workshops, and conferences.
The primary research domains include strategy, business policy, small and medium-sized businesses, and accounting. Studies in industry, stock trading, public finance, and policy. International trade and finance, entrepreneurship and business models, marketing, and others to choose from.
In addition to obtaining a M.Com. degree, students might decide to enrol in CIMA. A CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting and a Master of Commerce Degree from MIT-WPU will be granted to the student upon completing the CIMA Management.
