Programme Overview
The M.Sc. in Biotechnology at MIT-WPU prepares students for careers in the healthcare, biopharmaceutical, industrial, and related sectors. The programme covers a wide range of subjects, including biochemistry, genomics, proteomics, stem cell technology, nanobiotechnology, biomimetics, bioanalytics, pharmacovigilance, computational biology and systems, and synthetic biology. The programme structure is developed in consultation with leading researchers, biomedical, clinical, and industrial experts to provide students with the specialised knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in the biotechnology field.
As part of the programme, students complete two research projects in dedicated postgraduate labs and with leading researchers from the school and collaborating organisations. This provides students with substantial research experience and helps them develop industry and academic skills through a combination of academics, internships, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Terms & Conditions Apply:
- All Scholarships are awarded on a First Come First Serve basis. All Scholarships are awarded as fee adjustments.
- To continue the scholarship for the entire duration of the programme, a minimum level of academic score has to be maintained at an 8 CGPA across all semesters.
- Attendance is to be maintained at a minimum of 80 percent. There should be no disciplinary action against the student.

Eligibility
Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 3/4-year graduation degree in B.Sc. (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry), B.Pharm., B.Sc. Agriculture, or B.Tech. (Biotechnology and related streams) from a UGC-approved institution/university or its equivalent (minimum 45% for candidates belonging to the Reserved Category from Maharashtra State).
Selection Process
Admission will be based on the MIT-WPU CET 2026 Entrance Examination and the Personal Interaction (PI) score, conducted by the University as per the prescribed schedule.
