National Immersion
The National Immersion Programme provides engaging, innovative, and exemplary experiences to students in world-class National level companies & institutions. The programme shapes student learning experience and advances motivation and achievement through exposure in nationally reputed institutions.
The national immersion programmes at MIT-WPU are a part of the graduate and post graduate courses which gives the students opportunities to pay a visit to these institutes for a better understanding of the practices and research taking place in the various parts of the country.
These six day tours comprise visits to venues of academic, national, historical, cultural and spiritual importance which sensitize the students to the diversity of the country.
Students are trained to identify the problems faced by the community and come up with solutions for the same. These tours complement the traditional classroom based learning as students get to appreciate the history, geography, culture and lifestyle of Bharat as well as build team spirit and friendships amongst themselves.
The programme includes mentoring the students on three levels, namely pre-visit, on field and post-visit. The students face a viva and submit a report on their activities, observations and understandings after the programme concludes. The national immersion programmes have been conducted at IIM Ahmedabad, Taj Mahotsav Festival, Agra, SDF Tractors, Vellore, the Amul Plant, the Center for Nano Science and technology, Chennai, Statue of Unity, Ramoji Film City and other venues till date.
