National Legislators' Conference (NLC) Bharat

National Legislators’ Conference Bharat (NLC Bharat) is an avenue for Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) and Members of Legislative Councils (MLCs) across the nation to gather at one place and exchange ideas in this historic conference. The first edition of NLC Bharat took place in Mumbai from 15th to 17th June 2023. MLAs and MLCs from across the political parties and from all the States and UTs were provided with a unique opportunity to interact with each other. The first edition of the conference was conducted with the objectives of cross-learning and enhancement of legislative effectiveness at its core. The legislators acquired experiential learnings through thematic discussions along with a mix of thoughtfully curated large-format plenary sessions, brainstorming parallel sessions amongst the legislators, a showcase of States’ and UTs’ pavilions and commendable practices, and extensive informal interactions amongst the legislators, party leaders, Living Icons of Bharat and CSR representatives.

Rashtriya Sarpanch Sansad

Rashtriya Sarpanch Sansad is a platform established with the objective of empowering Sarpanchs from various villages of India and fostering dialogues, exchange of information, new learnings, and discussions on a wide variety of subjects related to local self-government. The platform aims to sensitise the youth regarding the problems faced by the village folk.

The non-political platform involves open dialogues between all its participants from various villages as well as the students of MIT-WPU and gives everyone an opportunity to learn about the positive initiatives and problem-solving steps taken by others while showcasing their own achievements.

National Teachers Congress

National Teachers’ Congress is the first of its kind multidisciplinary platform for higher education teachers from India and across the world. World Health Parliament

Providing access to quality healthcare to a population that is upwards of 1.4 billion is a huge challenge that the country has to deal with. The current pandemic has exposed a multiplicity of weaknesses of the healthcare ecosystem from lack of vaccination, paucity of qualified doctors, hospital beds, healthcare professionals and reach. While there have been many debates to reform the healthcare sector, these reforms must be engineered with prudence.

This calls for a radical transformation of the healthcare ecosystem starting from research in medical education, technological intervention and healthcare delivery systems. This vision of having a completely revamped healthcare ecosystem will need collaboration between all the stakeholders of the sector, who must resolve to work together to achieve self-sustainable, efficient and affordable healthcare for all.

They also gain knowledge about sustainable peace and development, innovative agricultural practices, urban solutions, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Through SLDP, participants cultivate crucial skills such as active listening and heightened societal awareness, all while contributing to the betterment of their communities. This programme unites accomplished leaders who have made significant contributions to their communities and the environment.

SLDP hosts prominent social leaders from various fields who engage with students and faculty members, inspiring them to become effective leaders.

The primary objective of SLDP is to educate young students about their societal responsibilities and underscore the importance of effective leadership in addressing issues both within our country and on a global scale. The programme seeks to inspire young individuals to instigate positive changes and contribute to a brighter future.

National Youth Parliament

The National Youth Parliament was initiated with the aim of cultivating ethical, spirited, and competent youth leaders who would shape policies and invigorate our democracy. This program aimed to instill public-spirited and socially sensitive values in young individuals during their formative years, enhancing their awareness, involvement, and responsiveness in political and democratic processes. The ultimate goal was to foster a robust democratic system by producing capable public leaders and policymakers from diverse backgrounds.

The initiative successfully connected politically and socially active youth on a common platform to strengthen democracy and nurture a national vision. Through a two-day conclave, it imparted lessons on democratic functioning and encouraged students to engage in public life and leadership roles, emphasizing the vital role of youth in democratic institutions. The National Youth Parliament aimed to create an environment where educated and dedicated young individuals actively participated in the democratic process, contributing to the evolution of a healthy democratic system.
