FAQ's

Preparing in advance not only boosts your knowledge of the basics of petroleum engineering but also gives you a head start in creating a strong foundation to qualify for the entrance exam. Also, it builds your confidence and gets you answering papers on time.

You must have a 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or an equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Yes, companies in the oil & gasoline sector regularly supply on-the-job training. They run workshops especially for fresh graduates to learn about firm-centric processes and requirements.

There is a high demand for jobs in the energy sector. Whereas petroleum engineering is specifically concerned with the exploration and extraction of natural resources, chemical engineering is concerned with the processing of chemicals. It will also vary in quality based on the extraction, processing and refining process you are considering.

Like many technical fields, the petroleum industry can be stressful; you will frequently need to make decisions under pressure—such as during offshore drilling or when they are working on large projects. As competitive as it may be, it is also one of the fields that charges a good package and has lots of career growth.

Petroleum Engineering : Finding & producing oil and gas. You’ll study drilling, extraction, and how to ensure that energy resources are managed in a safe and efficient manner.

Reasons to Study a BTech in Petroleum Technology and Engineering
The course teaches you skills to prepare students to work within the energy sector As demand for oil and gas increases, you’ll find a career in one of the world’s vital sectors.

Curriculum : Petroleum Engineering and Technology BTech
Courses such as drilling engineering, reservoir engineering, and oil field management are part of the curriculum. You’ll also learn about environmental impact, safety and technology used in the petroleum industry.

Courses Comparison for BTech Petroleum Engineering and Technology
Petroleum Engineering extracts oil and gas, whereas other engineering branches (for example Chemical Engineering) deal with chemical processes. Petroleum Engineering is a more specialized field related to energy resources.
