B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Cloud Computing)
The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Cloud Computing) at MIT-WPU is designed to prepare students for the dynamic and rapidly growing field of cloud technologies. By 2028, cloud computing will shift from being a technology disruptor to becoming a necessary component for maintaining business competitiveness, according to Gartner, Inc. With global end-user spending on public cloud services projected to reach $675.4 billion in 2024, driven by advancements in generative AI and application modernisation, the programme focuses on equipping students with essential skills in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security.
IT spending on public cloud services continues to rise unabated. In 2024, worldwide end-user spending on public cloud services is forecast to total $679 billion and is projected to exceed $1 trillion in 2027.
Through a rigorous curriculum, hands-on projects, internships and research projects students will gain practical experience in building scalable, secure and robust cloud solutions and will become adept at leveraging leading cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
The programme emphasises the critical management of exponential data with Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability security triads. Along with the efficient resource management solutions in the cloud, reflecting the growing reliance on data across various industries. By integrating AI-driven cloud technologies and modern application practices, the programme ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the industry.
