Masters of Public Health
Programme Overview
The Master of Public Health at MIT-WPU is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the complex factors that impact public health and the tools and techniques needed to address these challenges and helps students to analyse and address public health issues from a variety of perspectives.
Through a combination of coursework and a 4-week field project, students in the Master of Public Health programme at MIT-WPU develop expertise in a wide range of specialisations, like epidemiology, public health nutrition, and gender and health. They learn how to use research and analytical techniques to understand and address public health challenges, and develop strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills.
Graduates of the Master of Public Health programme at MIT-WPU prepares students to pursue careers in a variety of public health-related fields, including healthcare administration, policy analysis, public health education, and community health promotion. They will have the skills and knowledge needed to address the complex public health challenges facing communities around the world.

- Epidemiology
The specialisation in epidemiology provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods of epidemiology and the skills needed to apply this knowledge to the prevention and control of diseases. The specialisation covers a wide range of topics, including study design, data collection and analysis, statistical methods, and public health practice.
Through a combination of coursework and hands-on training at MIT-WPU develop expertise in a variety of epidemiological research methods and techniques, including observational studies, randomised controlled trials, and mathematical modelling. They also learn how to use data to inform public health policies and programmes and to guide the development of clinical guidelines and recommendations.
Graduates who choose the specialisation are well-prepared to pursue careers in a variety of settings, including government agencies, hospitals, research institutions, and non-profit organisations. They will have the skills and knowledge needed to address the complex public health challenges facing communities around the world.

Public Health Nutrition
The specialisation in Public Health Nutrition is designed to prepare students to address the complex nutrition-related health issues facing communities around the world. The specialisation combines coursework in nutrition, and public health with hands-on training in research and practice to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Students learn about the role of nutrition in the prevention and management of chronic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. They also study the determinants of nutrition-related health outcomes, including genetics, environmental exposures, behavior, and social and economic conditions.
By pursuing this specialisation, students are well-prepared to pursue careers in a variety of settings, including government agencies, hospitals, research institutions, and nonprofit organisations. They develop the skills and knowledge needed to address the complex nutrition-related health challenges faced by individuals and communities.

Gender & Health
The specialisation in Gender & Health is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role of gender in shaping health and healthcare outcomes. The programme covers a wide range of topics, including gender and health inequalities, gender-based violence, reproductive health, and sexual and gender minority health.
Through a combination of coursework and hands-on training, students pursuing the specialisation learn about the social, cultural, and economic factors that contribute to gender-based health disparities, as well as the policies and programmes that can be implemented to address these disparities.
The graduates are well-prepared to pursue careers in a variety of settings, including government agencies, hospitals, research institutions, and nonprofit organisations.

Note: Student will have to qualify both the criteria i.e. Graduation Aggregate Score and 12th Aggregate Score for availing the scholarship.
Terms & Conditions Apply:
- All Scholarships are awarded on a First Come First Serve basis. All Scholarships are awarded as fee adjustments.
- To continue the scholarship for the entire duration of the programme, a minimum level of the academic score has to be maintained at an 8 CGPA across all semesters, attendance is to be maintained at a minimum of 80 percent, with no live backlogs in any subject/programme and no semester break, and there should be no disciplinary action against the student.

Eligibility
Minimum 55% aggregate score in 3/4-year Graduation in Health/Allied sciences stream from UGC approved Institution or equivalent (at least 50% marks, in case of Reserved Class category candidate belonging to Maharashtra State only)
Selection Process
The selection process for the programme is based on MIT-WPU CET Computer Science Entrance Examination 2025 & Personal Interaction (PI) score.
