Bio
Dr. Pallavi P. Tatpate is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT World Peace University with over 13 years of teaching experience. She is passionate about experiential learning, research-driven education, and mentoring students for academic and professional excellence. Her research focuses on membrane technology, polymer recycling, polymer and green composites, water and wastewater treatment, nanocomposite membranes, heavy metal separation, and sustainable energy technologies. She has published research papers in reputed international journals, authored several book chapters, and holds granted patents. As Internship and Placement Coordinator, she actively strengthens industry-academia collaboration while contributing to MIT-WPU's vision of creating socially responsible engineers and researchers.

Selected Research Highlights:
Research focuses on developing sustainable and advanced engineering solutions in membrane technology, polymer engineering, and environmental sustainability. My work has contributed to the design of nanocomposite membranes for heavy metal removal, advanced hollow fibre membrane contactors for acid gas separation and carbon capture, and mathematical modelling of membrane transport processes. I have also contributed to the development of sustainable membrane technologies for industrial wastewater treatment, explored polymer recycling and green composites, and investigated eco-friendly materials for clean energy and environmental applications
