Rahul Pandharipande (born 1969) is a Portuguese mathematician of Indian descent who is currently a Professor of Mathematics, and Director of Institute for Theoretical Studies, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He obtained his bachelor degree from Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, and doctorate degree from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is working in algebraic geometry. His particular interests concern moduli spaces, enumerative invariants associated to moduli spaces, such as Gromov–Witten invariants and Donaldson–Thomas invariants, and the cohomology of the moduli space of curves. He served as a member of Abel prize committee (2014-16); Fields medal committee (ICM 2022), etc.

Director, Yau Mathematical Sciences Centre, Tsinghua University, China

Shing-Tung Yau is a Chinese-American mathematician. He is the director of the Yau Mathematical Sciences Centre at Tsinghua University and Professor Emeritus at Harvard University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of California, Berkeley. Until 2022, Yau was the William Caspar Graustein Professor of Mathematics at Harvard, at which point he moved to Tsinghua. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 1982, in recognition of his contributions to partial differential equations, the  Calabi conjecture , the positive energy theorem, and the Monge–Ampère equation.
