90th Annual Conference of the Indian Mathematical Society-An International Meet

Indian Mathematical Society (IMS)

Indian Mathematical Society (IMS) is the oldest organization in India devoted to the promotion of study and research in mathematics. The Society was founded in April 1907 by V. Ramaswami Aiyar with its headquarters at Pune. The Society started its activities under the tentatively proposed name Analytic Club and the name was soon changed to Indian Mathematical Club. After the adoption of a new constitution in 1910, the society acquired its present name, namely, the Indian Mathematical Society. The first president of the Society was B. Hanumantha Rao. Every year, The Society organizes its annual conference at different locations of the country. The upcoming 90th Annual Conference of The Indian Mathematical Society-an international meet will be organized during 23-26 December, 2024 at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT-World Peace University, Pune, Maharashtra-411038, India. The conference is intended to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field of Mathematics.

To encourage and inspire the young and budding researchers, the Society, during its Annual Conference holds Special Sessions of Paper Presentation Competition for various prizes to be awarded to the best research papers presented.
