Society of Women Engineers
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a non-profit educational and service organisation that originated in the United States in 1950. SWE stands as a global advocate for women in engineering and technology, driving transformative change and fostering inclusivity within the field. With a robust membership of approximately 40,000 individuals worldwide, our organisation is organised into nearly 100 professional sections, 300 collegiate sections, and 60 global affiliate groups.
At MIT-WPU, we are proud to be part of the SWE network, dedicated to empowering and advancing women in engineering and technology. We believe in creating an inclusive and supportive community where women can thrive, succeed, and make significant contributions to their respective fields.
