Dr. Shankar Maruti Mali

Bio

Dr. Shankar Mali is a distinguished Professor at the Department of Computer Science, MIT World Peace University, where he also serves as the Coordinator of IQAC. He received his Ph.D. from Solapur University in 2011 and qualified the SET in Computer Science in 2004. With an illustrious academic career spanning over two decades, he has guided two students to complete their Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and two more are currently pursuing their Ph.D. under his guidance at MIT World Peace University.

Dr. Mali's research interests lie in the fields of Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing, and Networking. He has authored 30 plus research papers published in esteemed National/International journals. In recognition of his exceptional contribution to the field of education, he has served on the Research and Recognition Committee at MIT-WPU and as a member of the Board of Studies at different autonomous colleges in Pune. He has previously held the positions of Head of Department, Vice-Principal, BOS Chairman, selection committee member, and LIC committee member, demonstrating his vast experience in academic leadership.
