Bio

Dr. Bharat S. Chaudhari is a highly accomplished Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering with over 33 years of extensive teaching and research experience. He completed his undergraduate degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering from Amravati University in 1989, and later went on to receive his ME Telecom E and PhD (Engineering) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 1993 and 2000, respectively. Dr. Chaudhari has held several distinguished positions in academia, including Principal, Dean, and Professor at the International Institute of Information Technology, Pune.

He has authored more than 95 research papers, edited several conference proceedings, and authored and edited multiple books on wireless, telecom, and optical networks. He has also been granted two international patents and has two Indian patents published. His research interests include low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs), Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks, and Si-Photonics. Dr. Chaudhari has been appointed as Visiting Scientist to ICTP, a Tier I research organization of UNESCO and established by Nobel Laureate Dr. Abdus Salam in Trieste, Italy since 2007.

Dr. Chaudhari is a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the 2020 IETE N V Gadadhar Memorial Award for outstanding contribution in fostering research and education, the MAEER Pune’s Ideal Teacher Award 2015, and the Young Scientist Research Grant from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in 2003. He is a Fellow of the IETE and IE (I), the Founder Chair of IEEE Pune Section (R-10), and a Senior Member of IEEE. He also serves as a Program Evaluator of Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, United States, for accreditation of computer, communications, and similar engineering programs. He has undertaken more than 25 NAAC accreditation peer team visits to various colleges and universities in India.
