Bio

Dr. Alexander Hankey is a highly accomplished Professor Emeritus at the Department of Biosciences and Technology, MIT-WPU. He is a theoretical physicist with a passionate interest in Vedic sciences, philosophy, and health. Dr. Hankey received his education from prestigious institutions such as Rugby School in Warwickshire, Cambridge University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He played a vital role in establishing Maharishi University of Management, where he taught the first undergraduate course in philosophy of science, and continues to contribute significantly to the field.

Dr. Hankey's current work involves refining the foundations of physics, biology, and information theory by utilizing a combination of philosophical arguments and knowledge of Vedic sciences. As a distinguished professor in yoga and physical science, Dr. Hankey has developed new approaches to Ayurveda, Jyotish, Samkhya, Yoga, and Vedanta. He has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is on the editorial boards of many leading journals in the field.

Dr. Hankey's research interests extend to resolving problems in theoretical physics, developing a novel complexity-based theory of cognition, and understanding quantum theory with a Vedic approach. He has been invited to speak at numerous international and national conferences and has received media attention for promoting traditional knowledge and introducing preventative health programs in developed societies.

Dr. Hankey also serves as a mentor to his primary student, Dr. Ameya Krishna B, with whom he represented India at the Houses of Commons in the British Parliament in June 2019. Together, they advocated for natural systems of medicine and minimal use of chemical intervention to foster healthier populations. Dr. Hankey's contributions to academia and society are invaluable, and he remains committed to promoting Vedic sciences and philosophy through his work.
