My experience with the Department of Biosciences and Technology for MSc Microbiology programme at MIT World Peace University has been truly enriching. The curriculum of Microbiology is thoughtfully designed, blending strong theoretical foundations with the latest advancements in microbiology. The faculty are exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable, encouraging critical thinking, curiosity, and real-world application of concepts.

State-of-the-art laboratories and modern research facilities have helped me develop strong practical and analytical skills, while opportunities to participate in projects have deepened my understanding of contemporary scientific challenges. The department’s close industry connections—through internships, guest lectures, and workshops—have offered valuable exposure and career insights.

I especially value the mentor–mentee programme, where faculty provide both academic guidance and personal support. Participating in events like RIDE and SLDP, along with volunteering activities, has enhanced my leadership and communication skills. The emphasis on innovation, ethics, and social responsibility has inspired me to pursue science to create meaningful impact. From feeling lost on my first day to finding my purpose, I’ve grown academically, personally, and professionally. It stays updated with current scientific and industrial trends, making learning both engaging and career oriented. The faculty members are highly knowledgeable, approachable, and deeply invested in our growth. The department’s well-equipped laboratories—featuring facilities like the Plant Tissue Culture Lab, Animal Cell Culture Lab, HPLC, and Confocal Microscopy—have greatly enhanced my practical knowledge. I also value the mentor–mentee programme, where teachers provide both academic guidance and personal support.

Beyond academics, activities like RIDE, SLDP, and volunteering opportunities have improved my communication, leadership, and confidence. The Career Development Centre (CDC) has further prepared us for interviews and professional challenges. Joining MIT-WPU, Pune has been one of the best decisions of my life. I’m truly grateful to the Biosciences and Technology Department for shaping my skills, confidence, and vision for the future.
