Innovation Clubs

Students lead Innovation Club
Established in 2022 as an expansion of the former "Innovators Hub," which originated in 2018, the Innovation Hub is a dynamic organisation. Its primary mission is to ignite the creative sparks within students, transforming their unique ideas into tangible ventures. Initially launched with a small team, the Innovation Hub has now grown to include over 400 members spanning all college divisions. These members pool their intellect and work collectively to devise innovative solutions.
Our fundamental aim is to create an environment where college students can nurture their initiatives, foster their individuality, and refine their concepts to make them market-ready. The council strives to provide resources, guidance, motivation, and cultivate entrepreneurship among students. We aim to establish a community of aspiring individuals who are eager to develop, promote, and launch their ideas, concepts, and research-driven start-ups into the real world. These endeavours substantiate students' innovative abilities while enhancing their ongoing academic pursuits in the most effective manner.
Innovation Hub operates under the guidance of faculty advisors and mentors under CBIE to ensure the effective functioning.
Mission
Fostering the acquisition of crucial non-technical skills and personality development traits, such as project management, research, and deployment, to set our students apart in a competitive landscape.
Providing a space for exploration, learning, and innovation, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to collaborate and contribute their ideas.
Cultivating a collaborative environment where students learn from each other, gaining a deep appreciation for various fields and honing leadership and teamwork abilities.
Promoting innovative and lateral thinking guided by sound research and analytics, encouraging students to adopt a mindset of experimentation and problem-solving.
Inspiring students to translate classroom knowledge into projects, research papers, and startups through our events and workshops.
Addressing even the smallest challenges individuals face, building a community of students dedicated to practical, hands-on learning and problem-solving. Our goal is to prepare our institution's student community for a world brimming with opportunities while fostering a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Club Objectives

- Create an environment where college students can develop projects, nurture their personalities, and refine ideas for market readiness, regardless of their academic background or project type.
- Provide students with opportunities and resources to transform their ideas into reality, spanning software, hardware-based projects, business models, marketing, sciences, and research.
- Offer a wide array of activities and seminars to enhance students' skills in diverse areas, helping them stay at the forefront of evolving knowledge.
- Expand our community and instil values such as innovation, creative thinking, entrepreneurship, and research among our college students.
- Facilitate students' participation and success in hackathons, research papers, patents, tech innovation, and start-up contests while encouraging the launch of new initiatives.
Club Activities
- Projects and Research Papers: Collaboration across diverse academic domains to conceive and develop projects spanning hardware, software, business plans, marketing strategies, or their integration. Facilitation of faculty relations for project and research paper support.
- In-Club Sessions, Workshops, and Bootcamps: Conducting in-house learning sessions, hands-on workshops, and bootcamps for hardware and software tools to enhance students' skills.
- All-Inclusive Workshops: Organising workshops accessible to all MIT-WPU students, promoting personal growth and fostering an innovative mindset.
- Events: Showcasing flagship platforms such as Launchpad and Connect, where students engage with industry experts and leaders. Launchpad features successful entrepreneurs sharing their journeys and interacting with students. Connect connects students with multiple industry experts. Events such as NASA Space Apps Challenge and Mega events like R.I.D.E, Inception and HACK MIT are planned throughout the year. Ride serves as a start-up fair, providing new start-ups an opportunity to pitch their ideas and students insights into the start-up culture. Inception focuses on innovation, allowing students to transform ideas into working prototypes and compete. Hack MIT, an intra-university hackathon, aims to instil a problem-solving culture in our college.
- Team Bonding Activities: Hosting team bonding activities to foster interaction and collaboration among students from various branches.
- Participation in Hackathons and Competitions: Encouraging and supporting students in our council to participate in a variety of hackathons and competitions.
