Bio

Dr. Shilpa S. Chapadgaonkar is a highly experienced academician and researcher, with a doctorate from IIT Delhi and a post-graduate degree from ICT Mumbai. Her extensive research background includes diverse fields such as upstream processing, bioseparation, enzyme technology, and health informatics. She is deeply passionate about her work, having spent over 15 years teaching and 20 years conducting research. Dr. Chapadgaonkar has supervised numerous PhD and MSc/Mtech dissertation projects, with three PhD students awarded under her guidance and three ongoing projects. Her research group focuses on new drug discovery, bioprocess development, and investigating complex genetic disorders. She has published more than 40 research papers, reviews, and book chapters in high-impact journals and authored two textbooks. Dr. Chapadgaonkar is also a poet and blogger.
