Dean - Innovation, Startup & Collaboration
Message from the Dean
At MIT World Peace University, innovation is not just an activity—it is a culture, a mindset, and a core element of our academic philosophy. We believe that the future belongs to innovators, problem-solvers, and entrepreneurs who possess the courage to think differently and the passion to create meaningful impact.
Our Innovation & Startup ecosystem is designed to nurture this spirit by providing students, faculty, researchers, and alumni with an enabling environment where ideas can be explored, validated, developed, and transformed into sustainable ventures.
Through our Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), recognized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), we actively promote innovation-led activities such as design thinking workshops, ideation bootcamps, hackathons, competitions, and expert talks. Our IIC initiatives strengthen interdisciplinary innovation and equip learners with the skills required to convert challenges into opportunities.
The MIT Technology Business Incubator (MIT-TBI) serves as the cornerstone of our entrepreneurial ecosystem. With world-class infrastructure, dedicated mentoring support, incubation facilities, startup acceleration programs, funding linkages, and access to industry leaders, MIT-TBI empowers innovators to build solutions that address both national priorities and global challenges.
We place a strong emphasis on protecting and commercializing intellectual property through our IPR Cell, actively promoting patent literacy under national initiatives such as KAPILA. Our commitment to responsible innovation ensures that ideas emerging from MIT-WPU receive the legal and strategic support required to enter the market with confidence.
Industry collaborations are another strong pillar of our ecosystem. We work closely with startups, corporates, MSMEs, research laboratories, and innovation-driven organizations to co-create solutions, offer internships and fellowships, support technology transfer, and foster entrepreneurship. These collaborations ensure that our learners are future-ready and exposed to real-world problem-solving environments.
Aligned with the National Innovation and Startup Policy (NISP) 2019, MIT-WPU strives to create a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-looking innovation landscape—one that inspires students and faculty to move from ideation to enterprise, from knowledge to innovation, and from potential to performance.
I welcome all students, faculty members, innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to join us in this exciting journey of creating a future powered by innovation, entrepreneurial excellence, and societal impact.
Together, let us build solutions that shape a better, sustainable, and peaceful world.
