Women’s Day Event

The Women’s Day Event held on 10th March 2025 at MIT-WPU aligned with SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), celebrating women’s achievements in STEM and promoting gender equity. Through engaging panel discussions and interactive showcases, the event highlighted the contributions of women leaders, inspired young minds, and reinforced the university’s commitment to fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and equal opportunities across all domains.

Pratibha Excellence Award from Eaton

MIT World Peace University is proud to highlight the achievement of Ananya Shimpi, who received the prestigious Pratibha Excellence Award from Eaton. The national-level competition saw participation from over 100 students across India, including 40 from MIT-WPU’s School of Engineering. After multiple selection rounds, only 16 students were declared winners. MIT-WPU hosted the Social Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) 2025 from August 6-8, bringing together social leaders, innovators, and students to focus on community-driven change. The three-day programme featured experts from various fields sharing practical insights on leadership, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, sustainable development and more.

The Bytes4Charity Hackathon is an event that combines technological innovation with a heart for social impact. The hackathon's challenge is both exciting and purpose-driven: to design a website for a non-profit organization (NGO) dedicated to a meaningful social cause.

CSI MIT-WPU’s Tech Trivia Challenge, held on International Women’s Day, was a high-energy, 4-minute quiz testing participants' tech knowledge. Hosted using ICT tool Kahoot, it attracted enthusiastic participants eager to compete for exciting prizes, creating an engaging, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating experience for all involved.

NGO Visit aimed to create awareness about cybercrime and explain what exactly the internet world looks like. We explained to the students the dual nature of the online world, its advantages, and potential risks. This session was highly interactive, as the students candidly shared their internet usage habits, revealing their inclination for extended gaming sessions including popular titles like BGMI and Freefire.

Cyber Awareness Session: Cybersecurity awareness session dedicated to empowering senior citizens was conducted by Dr. Aditi jahagirdar and Dr. Dhanashree Wategaonkar, faculty members of Department of Computer Engineering and Technology on 23rd July 2025. It is very well received and appreciated by the senior citizens as it is the need of the hour to remain cautious and alert.
