The MIT-WPU Department of Polytechnic is dedicated to delivering value-based education and fostering entrepreneurial skills, ensuring that students are well prepared for both employment and entrepreneur-ship. Since its inception in 1996, the department (formerly Sri Savitribai Phule Polytechnic) has been a prominent institution in Maharashtra, featuring state-of-the-art infrastructure and a distinguished faculty. The department promotes a problem-solving mindset and emphasises social innovation, aiming to develop well-rounded individuals with the confidence and skills necessary for real-world challenges. Through its comprehensive academic programmes, the department focuses on holistic development, preparing students to excel in their professional and entrepreneurial endeavours.
Our Objectives
- 3 students successfully filed an Indian Patent for an Automobile Safety Feature
- Presented the innovation to Honourable Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari (Minister for Road Transport and Highway Authorities) and Shri Piyush Goyal
- The Road Ministry accepted the project, and it is slated for implementation across India soon
- Certification Programmes by Mechanical Department
