The Department of Bioengineering at MIT-WPU, Pune offers an interdisciplinary programme that seamlessly integrates biology, engineering, and technology to address some of the most pressing global challenges. Situated within the vibrant ecosystem of the School of Engineering and Technology and the School of Computer Science and Engineering - both with a rich legacy of over 43 years - the department benefits from a strong foundation of academic excellence and innovation.

The program emphasizes hands-on learning, offering access to 20+ advanced laboratories, including the Central Instrument Facility, to nurture innovation and research capabilities.

With a GATE-aligned curriculum and a diverse range of professional elective tracks such as Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanics, Bioinformatics, Bioprocess Engineering, and Genetic Engineering, the department equips students with both technical expertise and industry readiness.
