E-Cell

Section 1

The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of MIT-WPU, founded in April 2024, is a rapidly growing student-led platform that drives innovation, venture creation, and entrepreneurial learning on campus. As the only space on campus where students can implement their startup ideas, validate concepts, and experience real startup culture, E-Cell provides hands-on exposure through pitch sessions, incubation pathways, and mentor guidance. In its first year, the cell engaged 1,500+ students, supported 40+ early-stage ideas, and represented MIT- WPU at national ecosystems including Startup Mahakumbh, MahaSummit, and key Women Entrepreneurship forums. With high-impact workshops, founder talks, design sprints, and industry collaborations, E-Cell MIT-WPU has quickly become a catalyst for empowering young innovators to build, pitch, and scale meaningful ventures. Section 2

Startup Mahakumbh 2025

Startup Mahakumbh 2025 in Delhi brought together 3,000+ startups across AI, Deeptech, Cybersecurity, HealthTech, AgriTech, Climate Tech, FinTech, D2C, Defence, Mobility, and more, making it India’s largest startup platform. 30 delegates from E-Cell MIT-WPU were selected to represent the university, immersing themselves in national-level innovation, policy, and investor conversations.

MahaSummit 2025

MahaSummit 2025 at MIT-WPU united 20+ incubators and accelerators and 10+ E-Cells from across Pune for meaningful discussions on student founder challenges, policy frameworks, and the future of India’s startup ecosystem. The summit featured panel conversations, masterclasses, and collaborative exchanges, strengthening the city’s student- startup network.

Udyamotsav

Udyamotsav was a celebration of entrepreneurship that connected founders with 94 investors across 14 locations in India, offering students and early-stage teams with direct access to funding pathways and mentorship. The event amplified deal-flow opportunities and gave emerging innovators a real-world understanding of India’s investment landscape.

GISC, Great Indian Startup Challenge

The Great Indian Startup Challenge (GISC) enabled student ventures to pitch, validate, and scale with institutional support, culminating in ₹2.1 crore of funding awarded to university startups. The initiative strengthened MIT-WPU’s pipeline of innovation by backing high- potential ideas with real capital and mentorship.

Startup Expo

The Startup Expo showcased student-led ventures, campus innovations, and early-stage startups, providing a platform for live pitches, investor interactions, and product demonstrations. It served as a launchpad for founders to test ideas, receive feedback, and gain visibility within the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Kahani

Kahani brought together storytellers, founders, creators, and students for intimate conversations on journeys, failures, breakthroughs, and the messy middle of entrepreneurship. It offered a refreshing space to understand the human side of building, beyond metrics and milestones.

RIDE 2025 & Startup Expo 2025

RIDE 2025 brought together 8,000+ attendees, industry leaders, and student innovators for panels, keynotes, and hands-on entrepreneurial sessions. As its flagship showcase, Startup Expo 2025 featured 80+ startups across diverse domains and connected them with 10+ investors through live pitches, demos, and networking, solidifying MIT-WPU’s position as one of the strongest student-driven innovation hubs.
