Mahalingam Award. This esteemed recognition, bestowed by the Kumarguru Institutions in Coimbatore, is a testament to Dr. Karad's exemplary contributions to society.

The Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam Award, named after the visionary founder of the Shakthi Group, was established in 2014 to honour individuals who have made significant strides in advancing industrial, social, and cultural landscapes, mirroring Dr. Mahalingam's illustrious legacy.

It celebrates luminaries who have significantly contributed to the growth and betterment of our community, echoing Dr. Mahalingam's multifaceted legacy as an industrialist, parliamentarian and dedicated follower of Gandhian principles.
