MIT-WPU Signs MoU with Waaree Energies Limited to Advance Renewable Energy Education

Waaree Energies Limited, India's leading solar energy company and one of the country's largest manufacturers of solar PV modules and solar cells, has partnered with MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen industry-academia collaboration for the B.Tech Renewable Energy Engineering programme.

The collaboration between the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Waaree Energies aims to provide students with hands-on exposure to the renewable energy sector through collaborative research projects, seminars, faculty development programmes, student exchange initiatives, industry training, guest lectures by experts, and visits to Waaree's manufacturing facilities.

As part of the partnership, Waaree Energies will also establish a live product showcase on the MIT-WPU campus and conduct specialised training sessions for students and faculty, enabling them to gain practical insights into the latest advancements in solar technology.

The MoU reinforces MIT-WPU's commitment to experiential learning and industry-integrated education by preparing future-ready renewable energy engineers equipped to contribute to India's clean energy transition.
