MIT-WPU Signs MoU with Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth to Advance Smart Agriculture

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, to foster collaboration in technology-enabled smart agriculture.

The partnership brings together MIT-WPU's expertise in engineering, innovation, and emerging technologies with MPKV's rich legacy in agricultural research and extension. Through this collaboration, the institutions will leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), drones, robotics, embedded systems, remote sensing, and data analytics to develop sustainable and precision farming solutions.

The MoU aims to enhance crop productivity, optimize resource utilization, strengthen climate resilience, and empower farmers through technology-driven decision-making. It will also promote collaborative research, innovation, and experiential learning, paving the way for next-generation agricultural practices.
