MIT-WPU Launches Prof. Makarand Hastak School of Construction Engineering & Management

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, marked a significant milestone with the launch of the Prof. Makarand Hastak School of Construction Engineering & Management, reinforcing its commitment to advancing industry-integrated education in the construction sector.
The occasion also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Civil Engineering, MIT-WPU, and the Builders Association of India (BAI), Pune Centre. The partnership aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration by creating opportunities for experiential learning, knowledge exchange, industry interaction, and skill development for students.
A Round Table Conference on the theme "Building Future Construction Leaders: Why Techno-Managerial Competencies Are Needed?" brought together eminent industry leaders, academicians, and professionals to deliberate on the evolving needs of the construction sector. The discussions highlighted the growing importance of integrating technical expertise with managerial capabilities to prepare future-ready construction professionals.
