MIT-WPU Felicitates Faculty Members Recognised Among Stanford–Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists 2026

MIT-WPU, Pune, celebrated a significant milestone in research excellence as four of its distinguished faculty members were recognised in the prestigious Stanford–Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists List 2026. To honour their outstanding contributions to scientific research, the University organised a felicitation ceremony on 12 October 2026.

The faculty members recognised for their research contributions included :

• Dr. Bharat S. Chaudhari – Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology / Research & Development – Networking & Telecommunications (Rank 2,980)
• Dr. Shvetank Bhatt – Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Health Sciences & Technology – Pharmacology & Pharmacy (Rank 1,049)
• Dr. Pralhad Pesode – Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology – Materials (Rank 6,677)
• Dr. Raj Agarwal – Department of Bioengineering, School of Engineering and Technology – Polymers (Rank 3,247)

The recognition highlighted the faculty members' sustained commitment to advancing scientific knowledge, contributing to their respective disciplines and strengthening the University's research ecosystem.

Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam, Vice Chancellor, MIT-WPU, along with Dr. Ganesh B. Pokale, Registrar, MIT-WPU, felicitated the distinguished faculty members in recognition of their outstanding scholarly achievements and significant contributions to scientific research.

The occasion celebrated their dedication to academic excellence and their role in strengthening the University's research ecosystem and global academic reputation.

The Stanford–Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists List recognises researchers across scientific disciplines based on standardised citation indicators, reflecting their scholarly influence and contributions to the global research community.
