Inaugural Ceremony of Life Transformation Centre: Connecting Soul to Soil

On March 12, 2026, the Life Transformation Centre (LTC)—a visionary initiative by Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT-WPU, Pune—was officially inaugurated. This milestone fosters reflection, discipline, and value-driven leadership in students, aligning with the philosophy of “Connecting Soul to Soil” for holistic growth and societal impact.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries, including H.H. Swami Ramdev, Revered Spiritual Leader and Founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust; Shri. Ronjan Sodhi, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee, Arjuna Awardee, and International Trap Shooter; Shri. Popatrao Pawar, Farmer and Sarpanch of Hiware Bazar, Gram Panchayat Ahilya Nagar; Shri. Sanjeev Nikam, President of Maharashtra State Gram Panchayat Officers’ Union; Shri. Nandkishor Pachpute, Sarpancha of Boribel, Tal. Daund; and Shri. Ramesh Karad, MLA of Latur (Rural).
The occasion was further elevated by a virtual address from Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare of India, and graced by the presence of Rev. Prof. (Dr.) Vishwanath D. Karad, UNESCO Chair Holder, Founder and Chief Patron of MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, and Founder President of MIT World Peace University.
The ceremony also paid tribute to Late Smt. Urmilatai Karad, Distinguished Poetess & Writer, and featured video messages from distinguished leaders including Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Shri. Chandrakant (Dada) Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Parliamentary Affairs, Maharashtra; Shri. Dattatray Bharne, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Maharashtra and Lt. Gen. Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, Pune.
During the event, Dr. Rahul V. Karad personally addressed students, sharing insights on self-development, discipline, and leadership. The ceremony featured several symbolic moments, including the screening of the LTC concept film, unfurling of the LTC flag, inauguration of the Konshilla, tree plantation, and the unveiling of the LTC brochure, each representing the centre’s commitment to transformation and sustainability.
The event witnessed remarkable participation, bringing together more than 1,500 sarpanch, 1,500 farmers, 1,500 students, and 750 staff members, reflecting the centre’s vision of bridging education with community engagement and rural leadership. In his address, Swami Ramdev highlighted the importance of digital fasting and spoke about Atmana Vidhi, encouraging participants to cultivate self-awareness, inner discipline, and mindful living.
The inauguration of LTC signals the dawn of a transformative chapter—one where discipline, spirituality, and leadership converge to inspire inner transformation and cultivate responsible citizens, laying the foundation for a more harmonious and peaceful society.
