Department of Mechanical Engineering Signs MoU with Alpha ICT, Pune

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, MIT-WPU, Pune, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alpha ICT, Pune, to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and create opportunities for experiential learning.

The collaboration aims to provide undergraduate and postgraduate students with internship and industry-oriented project opportunities, along with potential placement opportunities, enabling them to gain practical exposure and engage with industry requirements.

As part of the engagement, a delegation from Alpha ICT comprising Mr. Ajit Talele, VP–Innovation; Mr. Ashutosh Kulkarni, VP–Solutions; and Mr. Rahul Kulkarni, Lead–Human Resources, visited the Department’s laboratories and workshop. The delegation appreciated the infrastructure and facilities available at MIT-WPU and indicated that the process of hiring interns would be initiated soon, creating avenues for students to gain industry exposure and experiential learning.

Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Hujare, Programme Director, Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Kulkarni, MoU Coordinator, and other senior representatives from the Department of Mechanical Engineering were present during the MoU signing ceremony.

The collaboration marks another step towards strengthening industry-academia engagement and creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect academic learning with industry experience.
