Dadasaheb Phalke International Film School Studio Inaugurated at MIT-WPU, Pune

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, marked a significant milestone in film education with the inauguration of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film School, strengthening its commitment to hands-on, industry-driven learning in cinema and filmmaking.

The state-of-the-art studio was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Uday Samant, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Industries and Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra, who joined the occasion virtually as the Chief Guest. The event was also graced by Shri Nagraj Manjule, renowned film director and actor; Shri Sanjay Mishra, Indian Hindi cinema actor; and Shri Santosh Juvekar, Marathi cinema actor, television and theatre artist.

Also present on the occasion were Dr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President, MIT World Peace University, and Dr. R. M. Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, MIT-WPU, Pune.

The inauguration marks an important step towards creating an ecosystem where students can gain practical exposure to professional filmmaking environments and develop their creative, technical and storytelling skills. The studio will provide aspiring filmmakers with a platform to experiment, collaborate and translate their ideas into compelling visual narratives.

With industry-oriented infrastructure and opportunities for experiential learning, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film School Studio is set to become a space where emerging cinematic voices can learn, create and prepare for the evolving world of film and media.
