Manas Mohanty

Mr. Manas Mohanty is the Director – Career Services at MIT World Peace University and heads the Centre for Industry-Academia Partnership (CIAP). A seasoned management and career services professional, he brings over 25 years of extensive experience across administration, recruitment, revenue generation, channel management and customer satisfaction.

In his current role at MIT World Peace University, Mr. Mohanty leads CIAP, driving placements, internships and career development initiatives for students across the University. Under his leadership, CIAP has built strategic partnerships with 700+ organisations and a network of 3,500+ recruiters. He oversees campus recruitment drives, structured employability training and career counselling, while strengthening industry engagement through guest lectures, live projects, internships and conclaves with leading recruiters.

Prior to joining MIT-WPU, Mr. Mohanty served as Deputy Director at the Office of Career Services, O.P. Jindal Global University. During his tenure, he developed strategic relationships with corporate organisations, organised conclaves and corporate seminars, led the University’s Internship Fair, and established dedicated networks for the SME and social sectors.

He previously served as Deputy Director – Placements at NMIMS University, where he worked closely with organisations, alumni and faculty to strengthen industry relationships and maximise graduate employability.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mohanty held progressively senior positions at XIM University, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life and Centurion Bank of Punjab. His professional experience spans placements, retention and sales leadership, and includes recognitions such as the CEO Trophy for Cross Sales and multiple top performance ratings.
