Bio
Dr. Waseem Khan is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Business at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune. He has over six years of diverse experience across academia, research, and industry, having been associated with reputed institutions such as Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Hamdard, GLA University (Mathura), and the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, as well as with ICICI Bank Ltd. He holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Business Management from Aligarh Muslim University and is also qualified in the ASRB-NET in both Agricultural Business Management and Agricultural Economics.
His teaching and research interests includes Agricultural and Food Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Research in Agribusiness, Business Statistics, Managerial Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Consumer Behaviour. Dr. Khan has successfully completed a research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) as Co-Project Director and is currently serving in the same role for a Collaborative Research Project under "Vision Viksit Bharat@2047."
Dr. Khan has published more than 50 research papers in leading international journals such as Energy for Sustainable Development (Elsevier), British Food Journal (Emerald), Economic and Political Weekly (EPW), Forum for Social Economics (Routledge), Journal of Public Affairs (Wiley-Blackwell), and South Asian Survey (SAGE). Among these, 40 papers are indexed in Scopus and Journal Citation Reports of Clarivate Analytics and ABDC. His research impact is demonstrated by an H-index of 16 on Google Scholar and 10 on Scopus.
In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Khan is actively involved in peer-reviewing for prestigious international journals. He has participated in and chaired technical sessions at various international conferences and has also served as a resource person and session chair for workshops, value-added courses, and events such as the Young Economist Conclave.
