Bio
Dr. V. Lenin Kumar is a distinguished faculty member at the MIT School of Government, where he guides undergraduate and postgraduate students in understanding political processes, international affairs, and India’s global engagements. He completed his Masters, M.Phil., and Ph.D. at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, earning his doctorate in 2017 with a thesis titled “Political Economy of Neoliberal Reforms in Estonia, 1991–2014.” Dr. Lenin Kumar specializes in Indian politics, India’s foreign policy, and global politics. He has published extensively in scholarly journals, examining topics such as India–Nepal relations (From Blockade to Demonetisation, Stosunki Międzynarodowe), democratic transition in Estonia, India’s strategic autonomy in South Asia (Journal of the Indian Ocean Region), and India-Baltic states relations (IUP Journal of International Relations). He has also contributed political commentary across prominent online platforms.
Since joining Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University in 2018, he has focused on fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among students, helping them navigate complex political landscapes and engage meaningfully with contemporary governance and international relations. With seven years of teaching experience, Dr. Lenin Kumar combines rigorous academic research with practical insights to nurture informed, thoughtful, and globally aware citizens.
