Bio

Prof. Dr. Urvashi Makkar has over 28 years of experience and held prominent academic and administrative positions, including Director & Professor - Marketing at IMS Ghaziabad and Director General at GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research.

Her contributions span across academic quality enhancement, institutional accreditation (NBA, NAAC), global collaborations, research mentoring, and fostering industry-academia partnerships.

Dr. Makkar holds a Ph.D. in Management, an Executive Programme in HRM from IIM Calcutta, an MBA in Marketing, PGDCA, and a B.Sc. in Physics. She has driven institutional growth through strategic academic initiatives, impactful placement efforts, and international academic alliances, including delivering a Global Executive MBA module at UCS, Brazil. Her commitment to academic leadership is further evidenced by her participation in international faculty development programs, including the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) in collaboration with AICTE, the AICTE-UKIERI Master Trainer Development Program, and the Higher Education Leadership Program at Harvard Graduate School of Education, USA.
