Dr. Swati Deepak Bankar

Bio

Dr. Swati Bankar is currently serving as the Associate Dean – External Relations and Associate Professor at the School of Business, MIT World Peace University since 2006. XIn her role as Associate Dean, she has developed strong industry linkages and has successfully led numerous collaborative initiatives with industry experts to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

With 19 years of extensive experience in the field of Human Resource Management, Dr. Bankar has made significant contributions to both academia and industry. She is a recognized Ph.D. Research Guide, a Board of Studies (BOS) member at universities, and serves as an expert on Research Advisory Committees (RACs) across institutions.

As a research guide, she has successfully supervised two Ph.D. scholars. She has published two books and several research papers in reputed Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals. Dr. Bankar also holds four patents to her credit, reflecting her innovation-driven academic approach.

Certified by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, she is an accredited trainer for Entrepreneurship Development. She has actively trained and mentored students on startup development and has worked closely with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of women, empowering them through entrepreneurial training.

She has taught a range of Human Resource subjects, including HR Analytics, International HRD and Organizational Development (IHRDOD), and Training & Development. Her dedication to teaching was recognized when she received the Best Teacher Award from the International Lions Club.

Dr. Bankar has also facilitated global learning experiences, having led a two-week University Winter Program on International Management at the University of Hull, UK, and a one-week international program in Bur Dubai. She is also a Project guide for the students of Teesside University UK.

Her research and teaching interests lie in Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring, and exploring the link between branding and employee behavior using HR instruments.
