Bio

Dr. Sumitra Motade is a highly accomplished professional with 18 years of teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, under the guidance of Dr. Anju V. Kulkarni. Sumitra has also completed M. Tech (E&TC) with Second University Rank and 9.13 CGPA from Dr. BATU Lonere in 2009 and a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University (SRTMU), Nanded in 2002.

Sumitra's research interests revolve around IoT, communication, and signal processing. Her research contributions include ten papers in reputed journals and six papers in respected conferences. Under her mentorship, a student group secured the Winner position in the HackMITWPU-2023 competition and the Runner-up position in ""The Inventors Challenge"" competition coordinated by STMicroelectronics, AICTE, and ARM Dec 2022.

Sumitra has also been successful in securing funding for her proposals. She received 1 lakh from AICTE under Seminar Grant in 2017, $5000 from IEEE SPS Winter School in 2018, $3000 from IEEE SPS Summer School in 2020, and Rs. 93000 from AICTE for conducting a one-week AICTE-ISTE Induction/Refresher Program in 2021. Additionally, Sumitra offers Corporate Training as a part of consultancy services to Devise Electronics Pvt. Ltd., covering topics such as Communication Protocols, MATLAB, Simulink, State Diagram, and State Flow.

Sumitra has a unique teaching style and uses innovative teaching practices like Crossword, Role Play, Poster presentation, Flash Card, Seminar, Millionaire, Peer Assessment, Mindmap, Jigsaw, and more for course delivery. She has taught many courses, including Internet of Things, Analog Communication, Coding Techniques, Digital Signal Processing, Signals and Systems, Digital Electronics, and Microprocessor and Interfacing.

Furthermore, Sumitra is a Life member of ISTE - LM 49821 and IETE - M223291. She is an Educator and Central point of contact (CPOC) for AWS Academy and Single point of contact (SPOC) for Spoken-Tutorial activity at FoET level."
