Bio
Dr. Soubir Das holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, specializing in the development of clay-free drilling fluid systems for gas hydrate-bearing formations. His research focused on formulating low-dosage hydrate inhibitors (LDHIs) for water-based, non-damaging polymeric drilling fluids, ensuring enhanced performance and minimal reservoir damage. With expertise in drilling technology, drilling fluids, and LDHI synthesis, Dr. Das has extensive experience with advanced analytical instruments such as FT-IR, TGA-DTA-DSC, Particle Size Analyzer, Zeta Potential Analyzer, and high- pressure dynamic flow-loop systems (up to 10,000 psi). He holds an MTech. Petroleum Engineering and B.E. Petroleum and Offshore Engineering from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad and AMET University Chennai as well. He has collaborated with the Gas Hydrate Research & Technology Centre (GHRTC), ONGC, Panvel, Navi Mumbai applying theoretical insights to industry challenges during his Ph.D. Dr. Das has authored multiple SCI-indexed journal publications and presented at national and international conferences. He is skilled in both independent research and multidisciplinary teamwork, contributing to advancements in petroleum engineering.
