Dr. Santosh Jaybhay

Bio

Dr. Santosh Jaybhay holds a BSc, LLM, and PhD, bringing over 27 years of rich teaching experience primarily at ILS Law College and JSPM University. Recognized as a PhD guide and member of the Board of Studies at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), he has significantly contributed to legal academia and governance. Dr. Santosh has served as Rector of the Indian Law Society Pune for 27 years and held leadership roles including Vice Principal of a Law College and Director at JSPM University Pune. He has played an important role in various academic committees at ILS Law College such as the College Development Committee, Anti-Ragging Committee, and Quality Assurance Cell. As an Appellate Authority under the Right to Information Act, he has also coordinated key legal courses and organized national and international conferences and moot court competitions. Honored as the "Most Popular Teacher in Pune" by Times of India in 2009, Dr. Santosh has presented over 30 papers at national and international forums, contributed to faculty development programs, and served as a paper setter and examiner for over 27 years at SPPU. His dedication to legal education and student development is exemplary.
