Mrs. Rashmi Sridhara

Bio

Rashmi Sridhara is a multidisciplinary Textile and Surface Designer, Print Maker, DIY Content Developer, and Educator with over a decade of professional experience in the design industry. A postgraduate from the National Institute of Design (NID), Paldi, and an undergraduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bangalore, she has worked extensively across sectors including fashion, craft research, home furnishings, and education. Her areas of academic and creative expertise include surface ornamentation, functional fashion, traditional textile crafts, and game-based design learning.

Prior to joining MIT-WPU, Rashmi held key roles at Pidilite Industries, where she led design strategy and product development for DIY and craft-based content. She was also part of the core team of the Association of Designers of India (ADI), Mumbai Chapter, and contributed to the Pune design community. As an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, she is deeply committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and hands-on learning in design education.
