Bio
Dr. Rakhi Khedkar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MIT World Peace University, Pune, with nearly 23 years of academic and research experience. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, completed at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP).
She has contributed extensively to academic administration, research and development, and accreditation activities. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the SIG Smart City Cell, IEEE Pune Section (since January 2025), and previously held the position of Secretary of the Smart City Cell, IEEE Pune Section (January 2023 – December 2024). She is a Life Member of IETE and a Member of IEEE.
Dr. Khedkar has published 11 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has presented five papers at national and international conferences. She is a co-author of the book “Solid State Devices and Circuits” and holds five registered copyrights. She has actively participated in and coordinated numerous national and international workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs, and has guided over 100 UG and PG student projects.
During her doctoral research at COEP, she implemented spectrum sensing and dynamic spectrum allocation in Cognitive Radio Networks using a USRP-based testbed. Currently, her work focuses on Wireless Sensor Networks and IoT-based applications. Her research interests include Signal Processing, Wireless Networks, Cognitive Radio Communication, Communication Systems, Fiber Optic Communication, Mobile Communication, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
