Dr. Punit Kumar Mishra

Bio

Dr. Punit Kumar Mishra is an academician and researcher with over 20 years of professional experience, including more than 18 years in teaching and research. He holds a PhD in Marketing from Ranchi University and has qualified the University Grants Commission NET in Management.

His teaching and research interests include Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Research, and Rural Marketing. Dr. Mishra has published several research papers in Scopus/WoS/UGC CARE journals and presented his work at national and international conferences. He has also led a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project with international partner institutions like Technical College (FATEC), Centro Paulo Souza Fatecs - Brazil, promoting global classroom collaboration and cross-cultural learning.

Dr. Mishra has completed more than 50 Faculty Development Programs and received recognition from the IIT, Bombay, for his outstanding performance in NPTEL courses, including being among the top 5% in the FDP on Designing Learner-Centric MOOCs. He also received the SAP Award in the AICTE-approved FDP on ICT in Education. With certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and SEMrush, and expertise in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, and R, he actively integrates technology and analytics into management education. He also integrated MOOCs in regular classroom teaching and learning and prepared a customised course on Coursera for students.

1. Developed a credit SWAYAM course titled “Microeconomics for Beginners” Preview: Microeconomics for Beginners | SWAYAM , coordinated by IIM Bangalore. The course started running from July 2024 and already run successfully multiple times.

2. Top Performer (top 5%) in a four-week FDP from NPTEL (Swayam Platform) on “Designing Learner Centric MOOC” offered by IIT Bombay held between 29 th July 2019 to 29 September 2019.

3. Received SAP Award in Four Week AICTE approved FDP by IIT Bombay on - Use of ICT in Education for Online and Blended Learning in Moodle held from May 2, 2016 to July 10, 2016.

4. Led Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project with international partner Technical College (FATEC), Centro Paulo Souza Fatecs – Brazil.

5. Received an appreciation letter from IIT Bombay (Centre for Distance Engineering Education Program) for contribution as a Discussion Forum Moderator in the successful completion of the AICTE-approved four-week MOOC: Designing Learner- Centric MOOCs, offered by NPTEL on SWAYAM between January 27th, 2020 to February 26th, 2020.
