Bio
Prerna Sharma is a Research Associate at the MIT School of Government, with a postgraduate degree in Police Administration from Rashtriya Raksha University (formerly Raksha Shakti University). Her primary area of research is Women in Policing, and she is actively engaged in initiatives that support knowledge sharing and professional development for police personnel through lecture series, conferences, and seminars.
Prerna’s research interests also extend to national security, digital rights, and cybersecurity. She has contributed to multiple scholarly works, including the book chapters “Integrating Human Rights into National Security Strategy: A Path to Sustainable Peace” (Human Rights Versus Digital Rights, Juris Cognita Publications), “Digital Privacy Under Surveillance: Exploring the Challenges and Its Implications” (16th Volume of Scholar’s Paradise), “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security: Enhancing Cyber Resilience in the Digital Age” (Cyber Crime in the Era of Digitalization: Risk and Counter Measures), and “Shaktidhvani: The Voice of Strength” (Centre for Women in Police and Security Services, Rashtriya Raksha University).
She has presented her research at national and international conferences, including the International Conference on Public Policy 2024, the 4th International Conference on Human Rights & Constitutional Law hosted by VidhiAagaz, and the 15th IASR International Conference on Forensic Science. Through her work, Prerna combines rigorous academic research with practical insights, contributing to policy discourse, gender equity in policing, and enhanced understanding of emerging digital challenges in law enforcement.
