Dr. Pournima Nilesh Inamdar

Bio

Dr. Pournima N. Inamdar is a distinguished academician and legal professional with over 19 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. Currently serving as Associate Professor and Associate Dean of External Relations at MIT-WPU School of Law, she has previously held prestigious positions at renowned institutions such as ILS Law College, Symbiosis, and BVDUS New Law College, Pune.

With a PhD in Law from Nagpur University and an MBA in HR from Pune University, Dr. Inamdar brings a multidisciplinary approach to legal education. Her expertise spans intellectual property rights, constitutional law, and interdisciplinary research, with numerous publications in Scopus-indexed and UGC-approved journals. She has also presented papers at national and international conferences, contributing to discussions on topics like sustainability, gender studies, and technology in education.

Dr. Inamdar is actively involved in academic and professional committees, including roles as Legal Advisor for the Maharashtra Rowing Association, Editor for law and management journals, and member of various institutional bodies at MIT-WPU. Her leadership extends to organizing various events such as International Symposium on Law and Peace, International Women’s Day and serving as a mentor for student initiatives.

A recipient of the "Law Teacher of the Year" award from the Indian National Bar Association (2023) and the "Ideal Teacher Award" (2024), Dr. Inamdar is committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment and promoting the growth of her students and institution. Her dedication to education, research, and institutional development makes her a valued member of the MIT-WPU faculty.
