Bio
Dr. Parimal Maya Sudhakar is an Associate Professor at the School of Government. He brings over a decade of teaching experience and more than five years of professional engagement in the development sector. His academic focus spans international politics, state-society relations, and global governance.
Dr. Parimal has designed and taught courses that explore international relations, political analysis, and policy frameworks, helping students connect theoretical insights with real-world global issues. He actively engages in discussions, seminars, and workshops, making complex topics in politics and international affairs accessible to students and young professionals.
He completed his postgraduate studies in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, earned his M.Phil. on “China’s Nuclear Policy under Deng Xiaoping,” and was awarded a Ph.D. on “State and Society Relations in China in the Context of Globalization.” Dr. Parimal is a regular commentator on politics and international relations in mainstream media. He has also contributed to knowledge dissemination through translation, bringing Sundeep Wasalekar’s book “A World Without War” to Marathi readers as “Yuddha Nakaranare Jag”, published by Rajhans Publications.
Through his teaching, research, and public engagement, Dr. Parimal is committed to enabling critical understanding of global politics and cultivating informed, responsible, and engaged citizens.
