Bio

Dr. Miss Meera currently works as an assistant professor of civil engineering at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University, Pune, India, and heads Building Materials & Sustainability (BM&S) team. The researchers of BM&S Group are devoted to elucidating the fundamental science and performance of sustainable building materials. The research mainly focuses on developing green concrete utilizing various wastes through experimentation and implementing AI&ML. Before Joining as an assistant professor, she worked as a research scientist at Shriram Institute for Industrial Research, New Delhi, and developed a strength prediction model for hardened mortar by determining reactive silica content.

Dr. Miss Meera holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), New Delhi, India. Her Ph.D. research, titled “Non-structural concrete utilizing fly ash, marble powder, and foam” encompasses a unified theory of designing normal and low- density non-structural concrete with supplementary cementitious materials and mineral admixtures. It includes an “industrial sustainability method” of producing optimized concrete mixes and also presents a new method of assessing the durability of concrete.

Dr. Miss Meera has a Master of Technology in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering specialization from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, Odisha, India, and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha. She is a member of ASCE, ICE, ACI, ISTRUCTE, ICI, SEFI, and RILEM. She has also contributed to different groups working on Composites and Reinforce concrete
