Bio

Prof. Mangesh R. Mahajan is a hardcore, committed teacher and has teaching experience of 28 years. He has also undergone various training programmes, completed MOOC courses, and NITTTR's teacher training programmes. He has completed post graduation in Heat Power engineering from Pune University (Now SPPU). He is pursuing doctoral programme from Sandip University with research work in Diffuser Augmented Wind Turbines. Apart from this HVAC is also his key research interest area. He has published 05 papers till date mostly in SCOPUS journals. He has 03 books to his credit. He has a passion for teaching and developed extensive learning material for the benefit of students. He had been actively involved in the curriculum making process of different courses. He has also developed a lab manual for MSBTE students. He executed successfully a task of creating digital learning resources for MSBTE for a course Emerging trends in Mechanical Engineering. He had given expert lectures on AutoCAD to chemical engineering students. He has been instrumental in organizing various Faculty Development Programmes on campus. He is actively involved in maintaining rapport with industry for various co-curricular activities like Industry Visits, Expert Lectures, Industry oriented workshops, Internships activities. He has established a group of alumni students, who support different activities on campus. He has excellent communication & writing skills. He is actively involved in outreach activities of the department. He has good hands on AutoCAD, FLUENT softwares. Thermodynamics, HVAC, Management are a few courses he has taught frequently. Being a sensitive person he always takes up students' problems on priority and follows up to the concerned person / department till his problem is completely solved.He ensures that operating policies of the department are student friendly.
