Mr. Goutam Bhaskar

Bio

Dr. Goutam Bhaskar is a faculty in the Economics and Public Policy area. He teaches economics and statistics subjects. The primary focus area of his research is energy economics. Specifically, his work is centred on the global push towards renewables to curtail carbon emissions, and the trilemma of affordable energy access for all, energy security, and climate change threats for India he has used advanced econometrics, optimization, and scenario building approaches to analyse the future of power systems in India.

In addition to the research work, he has studied and teaches several subjects including macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics, econometrics, advanced quantitative research methods, and public policy.
