Dr. Ganesh Jadhav is the Associate Professor & Program Director, School of Design at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune, and a design academician with a rare blend of deep research, industry practice, and academic leadership. He holds a PhD in Design from IIT Guwahati, with specialized expertise in Ergonomics, Product Design, and Industrial Design, and over 16 years of combined academic and industrial experience. Dr. Jadhav has worked with leading organizations such as Philips India Pvt. Ltd., bringing strong industry relevance into design education through practice-driven pedagogy and innovation-led mentoring.
An active researcher and innovator, Dr. Jadhav has multiple national and international patents, over fifteen design registrations, and SCI/Scopus-indexed publications in high-impact journals. His research focuses on human-centred design, ergonomic interventions, indigenous craft innovation, and sustainable product development, bridging traditional knowledge with contemporary design solutions.
At MIT-WPU, he has played a pivotal role in curriculum development, program leadership, PhD program establishment, accreditation processes (NAAC/NIRF), and industry-academia integration. As an educator, researcher, and mentor, Dr. Jadhav is committed to shaping future- ready designers who combine creativity, empathy, technology, and societal relevance.
Dr. Ganesh S. Jadhav brings over 16 years of combined academic and industrial experience in the fields of Product Design, Industrial Design, and Occupational Ergonomics. He holds a Ph.D. with a focus on Product/Industrial Design and Occupational Ergonomics, and his academic journey is marked by a deep commitment to interdisciplinary and industry-relevant research and education.
Dr. Jadhav has worked for five years with Vishay (Philips) Components India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, where he was responsible for overseeing comprehensive maintenance activities. His industrial experience includes the deft application of preventive, predictive, planned, and corrective maintenance strategies across various machinery and systems.
As a passionate educator and researcher, Dr. Jadhav has published extensively in reputed national and international journals and conferences. He actively collaborates with professionals and students across diverse creative disciplines and integrates design thinking with engineering applications in both academic and industrial contexts.
He has filed 20 Indian patents and 1 South African patent, reflecting his commitment to innovation and practical problem-solving. His work often bridges the gap between ergonomic design principles and real-world production environments, aiming to enhance both productivity and user well-being.
Dr. Jadhav is also a Life Member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education).
